Dear Skålleagues!

Following the recent Skål International AGM in Perth, I am delighted to take on the role of National Director - Communications, P.R. & Media. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to promote Skål Australia and all of your Clubs, to assist in growing this wonderful professional network that we are all part of.

In the coming months you will see some changes occurring across our various communications platforms. I hope you enjoy the refreshed look of this newsletter and rest assured, there is more to come. Over time, we will be making additional modifications to continue to provide an informative and useful monthly touchpoint with Skål Australia.

As you're likely aware, our newsletter goes out to all Clubs in Oceania, so all of the Australian Clubs (Region 12) along with those located in Region 13 (New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea). We also include links to Club news from the Region 13 Clubs, to keep you up to date with what is happening with our closest Skål neighbours in the Oceania region. You'll see details in this newsletter about the upcoming Skål New Zealand AGM and Congress. It is shaping up to be an outstanding event and a number of Australian Skålleagues are already registered to attend, so please take a moment to check out the details and see if you can join us.

I'm also in the process of refreshing our social media plan, to ensure that the news and achievements of our Australian Clubs is shared far and wide to Skålleagues and travel and tourism industry colleagues around the world.

World Skål Day - 28th April

World Skål Day is coming up on 28th April. Vice President Tara Strickland and I will be in touch with your Club Presidents in the coming days, looking to create a special little something that can be shared across our socials as our Clubs can celebrate this auspicious day in our Skål calendar. Keep an eye out on the 28th and share with your own networks to get the word out about our fabulous organisation.

Skål International Training and Education Survey

Finally, I am also the Australia representative on the Skål International Training and Education and Florimond Volckaert Fund Awareness Committee. The Committee is currently seeking feedback from members, through it's representatives from each Skål Region, on the training and education needs of Skålleagues. You will see a link to a survey later in this newsletter. I would greatly appreciate if you could provide me with your feedback via that survey before Sunday 21st April, so that I can report back to the Committee and ensure that Australia's voice is heard. Alternatively, if you would prefer to discuss by phone, please call me on 0432 008 664 before Sunday 21st April.
